Some QPR fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Yoann Barbet’s crucial last-ditch challenge against Luton.

The Frenchman, who was signed from Brentford in the summer, has been heavily criticised on a number of occasions already this season by QPR fans on Twitter for his efforts against Swansea and Portsmouth; now, however, they have instead been discussing his pivotal contribution in the weekend’s win.

The newly-promoted side found themselves in on goal, before the 26-year-old managed to slide in and get his toe on the ball in crucial fashion.

Barbet’s tackle was a massive moment in the game with just seven minutes remaining, as the R’s were clinging onto a 3-2 lead having previously been 3-0 up going into half-time.

One fan said that the Frenchman gave him a heart attack when attempting the tackle, but admitted that the challenge saved the game, while another simply labelled the intervention as “brilliant”.
