Despite being on the receiving end of some hefty challenges, Haaland arguably got the upper hand on Newcastle's defence and, ultimately, City went into the break 1-0 up thanks to Josko Gvardiol's 35th-minute opener. Anthony Gordon later equalised from the spot in a 1-1 draw.
