Moussa Sissoko has not always had the best of relationships with the Tottenham Hotspur supporters.

Indeed, Sissoko – a £30m arrival from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016 – has largely struggled to make his mark since moving to the English capital.

There is no question that the Frenchman is a brilliant athlete, but the Spurs supporters have become increasingly frustrated with his ability on the ball over the last two years.

The 29-year-old was arguably Tottenham’s best player against Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday night, however.

Indeed, Sissoko could not prevent his team from suffering a 1-0 defeat, but there were plenty of positive signs from the powerful midfielder.

And his performance has not gone unnoticed by the Spurs supporters.
